HKFC x HSBC Life: Community and inclusivity through the power of sport

    23 May 2026

Since HSBC Life became a sponsor of Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC)’s Junior Soccer Programme last August, we have worked closely together to create meaningful opportunities for young people, where learning, connection, and inclusivity are at the heart of every session.

Supporting Po Leung Kuk Through Community Football

Earlier this year, we welcomed children from 保良局 (Po Leung Kuk), aged 6 to 14, for two community football sessions hosted in collaboration with HSBC Life. The energy of the entire day was fantastic. The kids enthusiastically participated, tried new skills, and enjoyed the shared excitement of playing together.

Just as importantly, the sessions went beyond technique. Our focus was on helping young participants develop key values through football, including confidence, teamwork, and active, healthy lifestyles, while also experiencing what it means to be part of a supportive community.

More Than Football: Building Character and Sportsmanship

Through structured coaching and guided play, the children had the chance to learn, improve, and connect. Bonds formed not only with teammates, but also with the wider football community around them.

More than a game, these sessions helped young people:

    • Build confidence through participation and encouragement
    • Learn to work as one team, celebrating effort and cooperation
    • Stay active and healthy through enjoyable physical play
    • Practice great sportsmanship on the pitch and beyond

    Thank You to HSBC Life

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to HSBC Life for their ongoing support of HKFC’s Junior Soccer Programme and their partnership in bringing community football to life. Together, we are helping create an environment where sport can truly make a difference, empowering young people to grow in ability, character and belonging.

We look forward to continuing this journey with HSBC Life and building more opportunities where inclusivity, community and the joy of football come together.
