    SOCIETY

At Hong Kong Football Club, badminton is played on the eight courts in our Sports Hall, where world-class badminton coaching talent supports a wide range of playing levels, from social to national-level, for all age groups. The Badminton Society recruits exciting, top-quality players to its ranks and is committed to raising the standard of badminton at HKFC and in Hong Kong. The Badminton Society is a member of the Hong Kong Badminton Association (HKBA) and participates in the HKBA league and other local and international competitions.

    Badminton at the Club

In addition to the regular tournaments and competitive matches played with other badminton clubs and organisations, the Badminton Society also hosts an annual interclub competition and junior competitions. All of this means that badminton players from across Hong Kong get to enjoy the Club’s excellent badminton facilities.

    Developing Badminton

The Badminton Society has a weekly club night on Fridays from 8.00pm to 10.30pm and a Sunday morning session from 10.00am to 1.00pm. The team squads and aspiring team members meet on Thursdays from 7.00pm to 10.00pm for coaching and practice. This time is also used to assess potential new talent. Junior coaching takes place on Friday evenings and is divided into Development, Advanced and Elite sessions, led by HKFC’s own world-class coaches.

    Badminton for Life

Enthusiastic support and participation for badminton in Hong Kong make our city a great place to play badminton. All ages can play badminton, making it a popular competitive sport, family entertainment, and a social sport that is an excellent way to keep fit. The Badminton Society ensures an environment in which both children and adult Club members can learn to play and improve their badminton skill and encourages members to play both social and competitive badminton regularly.
