Founded in Stags Leap District by the Goelet family in 1972, producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. Kristy Melton, commended by Wine Enthusiast as one of the "Top 40 Under 40" rising stars, was named Senior Winemaker in 2021, and revitalized Cols Du Val by focusing almost exclusively on making estate-gown wines.
