    Charity Cup 2021

    24 May 2021

The Tennis Society Charity Cup is one of our favourite socials of the year and we were delighted to be able to hold the event on Saturday 8th May. We had a blast whilst still maintaining social distancing protocols on and off the courts.

Our chosen charity partner for this year’s event was Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation, a group of volunteers who rescue dogs and provide them with medical care and rehabilitation. The foundation homes 100+ dogs in Sai Kung whilst working to find forever-families for each of them.

The Tennis Society managed to raise HK$11,000 through sign-ups to the event. This was presented to the Chairman of the foundation, Narelle Pamuk, in the form of a cheque as we kicked off that afternoon. Another $2,000+ was raised on the day through donation boxes.

As usual, the tennis was great fun, especially with the incorporation of some extremely comic and unusual rules. Being the stronger player didn’t necessarily call for an automatic win! It was a great way for all Tennis Society members to collaborate, mingle and enjoy themselves, whilst getting a good run around.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Charity Cup happen this year!
