We are pleased to let you know we have a charity partnership for the next 3 seasons with Laureus Sport for Good. We will be raising funds throughout the season to give back to rugby programmes reaching the most vulnerable children and young people in need in Hong Kong and Asia.
Laureus Sport for Good was established in 2000 and inspired by the words of its Founding Patron, Nelson Mandela, who said at the first ever Laureus Awards in 2000, “Sport has the power to change the world.” Laureus Sport for Good uses sport to reduce the impact of violence, conflict and discrimination, to enhance social and emotional development, to inspire healthy behaviour change and to increase educational achievements and employability skills.
Their work is driven by the philosophy sport can be used as a vehicle to bring about positive change, break down barriers, and instill hope in young people. And throughout the next few season we hope you will join us in supporting this great charity.
Over the last 20 years, Laureus Sport for Good has raised more than €150m for the Sport for Development sector, reaching and helping change the lives of almost 6 million children and young people since 2000. Laureus Sport for Good currently supports more than 200 programmes in over 40 countries that use the power of sport to transform lives.
Throughout the season we will be doing lots of fun activities to raise funds and if you have any great ideas of fundraising activities please let us know.
