    U8 Avengers

    19 Jan 2020

The U8 Avengers started the first festival in 2020 in the familiar territory of King’s Park. The Avengers fielded two balanced teams in FC2 and FC4.

FC2 kicked off against traditional rivals HKU Sandy Bay, with quick distribution from Martin Disser and Declan Tsui to the wide channels leading to tries for speedsters Ayman Pinchon and Isaac Yue resulting in a resounding victory. Resolute defence from Aiden Hung, Armand Leconte, Riku Shiotani ensured the team maintained their unbeaten run in remaining games with Tai Hang Tung, Valley Fort and Sai Kung Stingrays

FC4 fielded a strong central spine ensured consistent line gains from ‘smash it up the middle’ duo of Liam Moore and George Brock in games against hosts Tai Po and Sai Kung Stingrays. The territorial advantage continued in games against Valley and Sandy Bay which resulted in an avalanche of tries through strong finishers, Max Randall, Jacob Wall, Lachlan McGowan and Andre Cusack. Again resulting in 4 straight wins for the team

A big thank you to the parents and coaches who made sure the players enjoyed another successful festival.
