    Game On!

    04 Oct 2021

We are not out of pandemic, as yet, and whilst there cannot be a return to complete normality, we continue our journey to learn to live and bowl with the virus. HKLBA competition and Club games have restarted gradually as the epidemic gradually eases, and our Section members are delighted about the resumption. Are you ready to show your fists?

Apart from the ongoing national games (National Fours / Mixed Triples / Indoor Pairs / Novice Pairs), the second half of the Premier League season kicked into full gear in late August. Let’s cheer for our Bowlers!

    GREEN RE-OPENED

After being closed for a month for regular maintenance, the Outdoor Bowls Green re-opened in mid-August. Applause to “Fa-wong” who toiled in the hot sun to ensure the green was in macnificent shape! Thanks!

    MINI LEAGUE COMPLETED

After 10 rounds of top quality bowling, Frankie Ko became the Champion, with Calinna Chan as 1st runner up and Thomas Tam and Raphael Chan the joint 2nd runners-up. A mention must go to the hard working members of the Committee who ensured the success of the Mini League. And a big thank you to all our section members for your enthusiastic participation! Well done to all!

    BEGINNER CLASS

Led by HK Squad’s Assistant Coach Sunny Chung, the second Beginner’s Course was completed successfully. Lawn Bowls is no longer a game for the older generations, but a sport for all. We are glad to see everyone’s rookie interest in lawn bowls. See you on the field!
